Social Media Intern


We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our dynamic marketing team. As a Social Media Intern at Bonfire.com, you will play a crucial role in growing our brand awareness, acquiring new customers, and fostering community engagement across various social media platforms, with a particular emphasis on TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (additional platforms as needed). We are especially interested in candidates comfortable with creating short-form video content.

  1. Create compelling and engaging still and video content for Bonfire.com’s social media channels, including but not limited to TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, that aligns with our brand identity and marketing objectives.
  2. Comfortable being the “face of Bonfire” in social content, and filming video content to be used across social media platforms.
  3. Develop and execute social media strategies to increase brand awareness, drive customer acquisition, and enhance community engagement.
  4. Monitor social media channels for trends, news, and conversations relevant to our industry and audience, and leverage these insights to inform content creation and strategy.
  5. Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute social media campaigns, promotions, and contests aimed at achieving specific goals and objectives.
  6. Respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media in a timely and professional manner, engaging with our audience and building meaningful relationships.
  7. Analyze social media metrics and performance data to track the success of campaigns, identify areas for improvement, and make data-driven recommendations.
  8. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, platform updates, and best practices, and share insights and learnings with the team.
  9. Assist with influencer outreach, partnerships, and collaborations to amplify our reach and credibility on social media.
  10. Support cross-platform promotion by repurposing and adapting content for different channels, ensuring consistency and cohesion across our digital presence.Plan and publish content across social channels.
  11. Maintain an in-depth understanding of the Bonfire brand in order to act, speak, and respond in the Bonfire voice.
  12. Stay up-to-date with trending Bonfire campaigns and content being shared by our sellers to plan social posts featuring these campaigns.
  13. Learn about product updates and marketing initiatives at Bonfire and their potential implications for social media communications.


  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, particularly TikTok, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X, and their respective audiences and best practices.
  • Experience with graphic design, video editing, or other multimedia content creation tools is desirable but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and visual communication.
  • Familiarity with social media analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Facebook Insights, Instagram Insights, TikTok Analytics) is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.


  • Consistent access to a reasonably distraction free home work space, with reliable access to high-speed internet and use of a smart phone/mobile device.
  • Technologically savvy, with strong computer skills and the ability to embrace and adapt to changes to technology that is critical to how we work.


  • Familiarity with apparel, creator, fundraising, or nonprofit industries
  • Experience working with video/animation
