ABOUT THE JOB

Our Sales team is searching for their future Director Of Sales. An ambitious sales innovator with extensive business development experience and demonstrable evidence of achieving financial targets in a quota carrying environment. Additionally, someone with an expert level understanding of what it takes to effectively manage and execute inbound and outbound prospecting strategies & processes.

Our future Director Of Sales will lead our Small and Mid-Market Outbound Sales teams as well as our Account Management team. Their responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring those teams consistently achieve quota, performance mentorship of direct reports, and contributing to the strategic planning process. 

This role lies within our Growth department and reports to the VP Sales & Customer Support.

Bonfire is currently supporting a virtual work environment; however, we are looking to only hire candidates who reside in the following locations: ​​North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES 

include but are not limited to:

  1. Build, manage and coach high-performing Sales teams
    1. Lead annual performance mentorship of direct reports
    2. Create a team culture of recognition where core values are seen and celebrated
    3. Guide and mentor direct reports toward their purpose and potential in constant alignment with our company’s core values
    4. Identify efficiencies in how work gets done, and the tools used to do it.
  2. Plan Sales Team staffing requirements including the best alignment of talent to meet Bonfire’s needs
  3. Set commission and incentive plans collaboratively with the VP Sales and Customer Support, and revise on an as-needed basis to ensure alignment
  4. Hold Sales Representatives accountable to meeting quota and hold performance related conversations when quota is missed consistently
  5. Attain Creator and Nonprofit user segment growth and retention goals as measured by KPIs established in partnership with VP Sales and Customer Support
  6. Build and implement sales strategies to maximize seller engagement and deal win rate
  7. Review operational reports daily and develop/implement action plans to address deficiencies with the intent to: 
    1. Improve outbound conversion rates
    2. Improve managed account retention rates
    3. Eliminate duplicate, unnecessary, or non-value-add work
  8. Create, edit and maintain outbound email templates, and quality responses for recurring sales scenarios and “one-off” scenarios as needed
  9. Maintain a high level of proficiency with all systems and software used by the Sales team

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience in Sales 
  • 2+ years in a leadership role/management
  • Ability to work/attend meetings M-F 8:00am-5:00pm Eastern Time, as well as flexibility outside those hours as required 
  • Current documents necessary to travel internationally without restriction, including but not limited to an unexpired passport.   
  • Consistent access to a reasonable distraction free home work space, with reliable access to high-speed internet and use of a smart phone/mobile device.
  • Technologically savvy, with strong computer skills and the ability to embrace and adapt to changes to technology that is critical to how we work.   
  • Good working knowledge of the primary Google business, productivity, and collaboration tools/software.  
  • Good working knowledge of the primary Microsoft Office programs.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Familiarity with Hubspot
  • Familiarity with apparel, fundraising, nonprofit and/or content creator industries
  • Continual relevant professional development 
  • Above average spreadsheet literacy needed to create and maintain our reporting
